MIAMI – The FIU baseball program announced Friday afternoon it will make the trip to Key West, Fla., to face the UCF Knights in a fall exhibition game on Saturday, Oct. 11.
The matchup is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Rex Weech Field, home of the Key West High School Conchs baseball program. The field is also the alma mater of former Panther
Brendan Roney, who played at FIU from 2023-25.
The exhibition marks a highly anticipated contest in the Southernmost City in the continental United States, and the first meeting between the two programs since May 5, 2009.
In addition, FIU announced it will host Miami Dade College in another fall matchup on Friday, Nov. 14, at 6:30 p.m. at FIU Baseball Stadium.
The Panthers' full 2026 schedule will be released in the coming months.
