Biography

Before FIU: Vandersluis brings an expertise in the breaststroke and the IM to FIU. A four-time first-team all-county selection at Suncoat High School, Vandersluis has posted top times of 1:06.38 in the 100 Breast, 2:21.86 in the 200 Breast, 2:07.84 in the 200 IM and 4:31.14 in the 400 IM. Planning on majoring in dietetics and nutrition, Vandersluis chose FIU over Florida State, Florida Gulf Coast and North Florida.
