One of 19 baseball student-athletes to make the 2007 Fall Honor Roll with a grade-point average above 3.0.

2007: Red-shirted while recovering from elbow surgery.

2006: Stepped into the starting rotation for the last five weeks of the season and gave up 16 hits, eight runs and struck out 14 en route to a 6-1 record...went a career-long 7.1 innings in his final appearance of the season against Western Kentucky in the SBC Tournament and earned the win...struck out a career-high five batters twice against Rutgers (3/11) and Middle Tennessee (5/7)...gave up just one hit in five innings to Florida A&M (5/2)...held a Louisiana-Lafayette team that ranked 89th nationally in batting average to four hits and struck out two over 4 1/3 innings in the middle game of the series (4/22)... arrived at FIU at the break between fall and spring semesters.

Prior to FIU: Attended Miami Dade College for two years before coming to FIU...played in 15 games in the outfield and on the mound as a sophomore...threw 26.1 innings with a 2.74 ERA, 15 strikeouts, six walks and a save...also hit .423 with 12 runs and two doubles...threw 38.0 innings as a freshman with 26 strikeouts, 13 walks and a 4.50 ERA with one save...hit .321 as a freshman with two doubles and three triples...played three years of baseball at Champagnat Catholic HS.

Personal: Born October 2, 1983 in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands...son of Andre Francis...has an older sister, Jermaine, who helped raise him...spent first year of high school in the Virgin Islands before moving to Hialeah, Fla....pitched for the 2006 Virgin Islands National Team.
