2007: Ended the season as the team’s No. 1 starter and led the FIU pitching staff in innings pitched (98.0), strikeouts (89) and complete games (three), while compiling a 4-6 record and 5.69 ERA in 16 starts...got off to a slow start on the season with 12 strikeouts and 12 walks in his first five appearances before ringing up 77 strikeouts against only 15 walks in his last 11 appearances of the season...recorded double-digit totals in strikeouts four times, including a career-high 12 against Rutgers (3/10), and 11 at Arkansas State (4/6), at South Alabama (5/4) and against Middle Tennessee (5/11)...threw complete games against Rutgers (3/10), at Arkansas State (4/6) and against Middle Tennessee (5/11)...named Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week following a career performance against Rutgers that included 12 strikeouts and one walk in a complete game win, which was also his first career win...also posted wins against Arkansas St., Louisiana at Monroe and South Alabama...lost in his final appearance of the season at Florida Atlantic (5/17), walking a season-high four batters and giving up six runs on three hits in an inning-plus of work...tagged with a complete game loss against Middle Tennessee (5/11), where he struck out 11 with no walks and gave up six runs on 11 hits...earned the win at South Alabama (5/4), going 8.0 innings and striking out 11, while giving up seven runs on 10 hits with only one walk...struck out six in 6.0 innings against New Orleans (4/27), allowing six earned runs in a no-decision...earned a no-decision at Arkansas-Little Rock (4/20) with five strikeouts and a walk in 5.0 innings...opened the Louisiana at Monroe series with a 9-5 win, going 7.0 innings and giving up four earned runs with six strikeouts...threw his second complete game of the season at Arkansas State (4/6), earning a 5-3 win with 11 strikeouts and one walk on nine hits...struck out seven and walked three in 7.0 innings against Louisiana-Lafayette (3/30), while giving up five earned runs in a 10-3 loss...gave up five earned runs and was charged with a loss after striking out four and walking one at Troy (3/23)...gave up three runs on eight hits in 4.1 innings with two strikeouts in a 6-5 loss against Western Kentucky (3/17)...earned his first career win with a complete game 4-2 victory against Rutgers (3/10), striking out 12 and walking one...only gave up one earned run against the Scarlet Knights...gave up two earned runs on 10 hits in 6.1 innings of a no-decision against Wagner (3/4)...pitched 7.0 strong innings in the second game of a doubleheader against Rhode Island (2/24), giving up two earned runs on five hits with four strikeouts and two walks...charged with a no-decision in the 12-11 win...gave up five runs on seven hits in 5.2 innings of the front end of a doubleheader against Florida A&M (2/17)...earned the first of four consecutive no-decisions against Missouri (2/10), giving up two earned runs off three hits in 4.1 innings with a strikeout and three walks...charged with the loss in his first career start against Central Florida (2/4), giving up four earned runs on five hits in 2.0 innings.

Prior to FIU: Pitched one inning of perfect ball for Clemson in 2006, against Gardner-Webb on March 15...drafted in the 45th round as a catcher by the Florida Marlins in 2004...member of the Suncoast All Stars (Sophomore Showcase) in Lakeland, Fla., in 2004...Academic All-Suncoast Conference selection in 2004 at Lake-Sumter (Fla.)
