One of four baseball student-athletes to make the 2007 Fall Dean’s List with a grade-point average above 3.5...member of the 2006-07 Sun Belt Academic Honor Roll for maintaining a GPA above 3.0 for the school year.

2007: Made 20 appearances, all in relief as a freshman, and compiled a 2-5 record with a team-best three saves...recorded 37 strikeouts against 16 walks in 35.0 innings with a 4.11 ERA...gave up 35 hits and held opponents to a .268 average in 133 at-bats...allowed only one run in his first seven appearances (5.0 innings)...earned his first career win against Louisiana-Lafayette (4/1) and posted his two-highest strikeout totals against Miami (4/4, 4/11), striking out 11 batters and issuing one walk in 5.2 innings of combined relief in the two games...earned his first career save against Louisiana at Monroe (4/13)...was charged with a loss and gave up a season-high seven hits in a career-high 4.2 innings of relief in the 11-10 series finale against Florida Atlantic (5/19)...struck out four and walked one, while giving up four earned runs to the Owls...threw 1.2 innings of relief, giving up one hit and striking out one to earn his second win of the season against Middle Tennessee (5/13)...charged with a loss in the series finale at South Alabama (5/6) after giving up two runs on four hits with three strikeouts and three walks with three wild pitches...gave up three runs in an inning of work in a 12-10 win against South Alabama (5/4)...earned a pair of saves to help FIU to a three-game sweep of New Orleans (4/27-29)...preserved a 3-2 lead with 2.0 innings of relief in the series finale against the Privateers and held onto an 8-7 lead in the series opener with an inning of perfect relief to earn saves...gave up two runs on six hits in 4.1 innings of relief and was charged with the loss at Arkansas-Little Rock (4/21), striking out four...charged with his second loss of the season against Louisiana at Monroe (4/14), giving up a run in two-thirds of an inning...earned his first career save in the opener against Monroe (4/13), entering the game with a one-run lead in the eighth and pitching two perfect innings with four strikeouts...faced Miami (4/11) for the second time in a week and struck out five with no walks and only one hit in 3.0 innings of relief...gave up one unearned run and struck out two in 1.1 innings of relief at Arkansas State (4/7)...recorded a career-high six strikeouts and gave up two runs on three hits in 2.2 innings of relief at Miami (4/4)...earned his first career win against Loiusiana-Lafayette (4/1), holding the Ragin’ Cajuns to one earned run on four hits with two strikeouts and three walks in 3.1 innings of relief...threw a scoreless ninth inning against Harvard (3/28)...retired the only batter he faced to end the game and preserve a 9-1 win at Troy (3/24)...walked two and gave up his first earned run of the season in two-thirds of an inning against Western Kentucky (3/17)...threw a scoreless ninth inning and struck out one against Manhattan (3/13)...closed out a 12-5 win against Rutgers (3/9) with a scoreless ninth inning...pitched a scoreless sixth inning in a 14-2 win against Wagner (3/3)...made his collegiate debut against Missouri (2/9), entering the game in the seventh inning with the bases loaded and giving up two singles and three unearned runs.

Prior to FIU: Played four years of baseball for head coach Shawn McHugh at Dublin HS, earning all-league honors all four years...first team all-league outfielder and First Team All-Eat Bay as a senior...earned honorable mention all-league honors on the mound his junior season...was a first team all-league pitcher as a sophomore and a was a second team all-league pick as a utility player his freshman season...also played one year of football.
