Biography

Prior to FIU: Attended Texas Pan-American for one semester before enrolling at FIU for the spring semester...played four years of baseball for Carlos Marti at Hialeah HS...won his team’s Gold Glove Award and served as team captain his senior year...a three-time Miami Herald All-Dade Honorable Mention at catcher...batted .310 with a home run and 20 RBI his senior year...helped lead Hialeah to the district and regional championship and an appearance in the 6A final four his junior year.

 

Personal: Born March 25, 1989 in Havana, Cuba...son of Charles Rodriguez and Rosa Vilarello...has a younger sister, Michelle Rodriguez...enjoys deep-sea fishing with his father...majoring in mechanical engineering.
