FIU Athletics

2008: Played in 49 games, starting 17 of them... hit .253 with 12 RBI and a .358 on-base percentage... three multi-hit games... 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored at Arkansas State (5/3)... 2-for-4 with and RBI and a run scored at Louisiana-Lafayette (3/28)... 1-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored vs. Louisiana-Monroe...One of four baseball student-athletes to make the 2007 Fall Honor Roll  with a grade-point average above 3.0.
 
Prior to FIU: Named the Frederick News-Post Player of the Year, Piedmont Conference Player of the Year, 2007 All-Metro First Team and First Team All-MVAL and to the all-state team as a senior at Middletown...played four years of baseball for Mike Warrenfeltz and four years of basketball for John Jarrett...batted .459 with five home runs, 32 RBI, 10 doubles, four triples, 22 walks and 25 runs scored as a senior for the Piedmont Conference and regional champions...also compiled a 9-1 record with 113 strikeouts and .73 ERA his senior year...was Middletown’s MVP in 2006 and 2007...named the 2006 Dizzy Dean World Series MVP...posted a 4.25 weighted GPA in high school...National Honor Society member for two years and a member of student government for four years.
 
Personal: Born June 5, 1989...son of Wayne Allen Main and Cheryl Ann Main...has one brother, Chase, and a sister, Lindsey...majoring in physical therapy...chose FIU after receiving interest from Maryland, Virginia and UNC-Charlotte...enjoys fishing, boating and going to the beach.
