Sangre de Cristo High School: A four-sport athlete in high school, excelling in football, basketball, track and baseball...a first-team all-state performer and part of Sangre de Cristo’s Class A 8-man state football championship team of head coach Van Pepper...1994 state champion in the discus throw...after graduating from high school, spent six years in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear power plant operator and Navy diver...upon discharge, attended Miami Dade College and earned his associate in arts degree with a 3.73 GPA...walked on to the FIU team in the spring and hopes to compete for playing time at middle linebacker.
