Prior to FIU: Has played soccer for 16 years, most recently with club team KA Akureyri for the last four years... Played with Skallagrimur Borgarnes for 11 years and was a five-time team MVP... Won the Icelandic Championship with Skallagrimur Borgarnes in 1996... Also played badminton and basketball. Personal: Born March 7, 1983, in Reykjavik, Iceland... Son of Birgir Gudmundsson and Brit Bieltvedt... Has two older brothers, Birgir Orn (34) and Jon Ottar (32)... Graduated from Menntaskolinn a Akureyri in 2004 and studied at the University of Iceland from 2004-06... Off the field, enjoys movies, music and sports... Majoring in industrial and systems engineering.
