As a Sophomore (2013): Named to the 2012-13 SBC Academic Honor Roll for having a 3.0-3.49 GPA…Appeared in all 58 games for the Panthers making 55 starts…Made 46 starts and first base, with the other nine coming in the designated hitter role…Tallied 52 hits on the year, four home runs and 26 RBI…Recorded 16 multi-hit games and six multi-RBI games…Opened the season with a 3-for-4 effort against Stony Brook (2/16) with an RBI…Drove in three runs on two doubles and a triple against Manhattan (2/24)…Had a nice 2-for-4 day with one run and two RBI vs. Ole Miss (3/2)…Began a six-game hitting streak against Rice (3/9) with a 2-for-4 outing at the plate with a double…Went 1-for-3 at Florida Atlantic (3/16) with two RBI…Went deep for the second time of the year and doubled vs. Western Kentucky (3/22)…Recorded two hits in each of the first two games against Arkansas State, including a 2-for-4 effort in the second game with two runs and one RBI (3/30)…Went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run vs. ULM (4/14)…Doubled and drove in a run in a 2-for-5 outing against Louisiana (4/26)…Hit two doubles vs. Florida Gulf Coast (5/1)…Drove in three runs and homered in the series opener at Troy (5/3)…Followed that up with another two hits and two RBI the following day against the Trojans (5/4)…Played a big part in the series finale at UALR (5/12), going deep and recording two hits to help FIU claim the series victory…Tallied three hits in the Florida Atlantic series.

As a Freshman (2012): Named to the 2011-12 SBC Academic Honor Roll for having a 3.0-3.49 GPA… Hit .238 (35-147) in 45 games with 39 starts… Hit two home runs and drove in 16 while scoring 22 runs… Was a perfect 3-3 in stolen base attempts… His first-career hit came in a pinch hitting role in his first collegiate game against Rice (2/17)… Hit home runs in back-to-back games at FAU (5/17 and 5/18)… Sixth on the team with eight doubles… Ranked tied for second on the team with five sacrifice flies…Had nine multi-hit games… Strung together a five-game hitting streak (4/13-4/18)… Also had a stretch where he reached base in seven-straight games… Started the majority of his games at DH (22) with 17 starts at first… Occupied the 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th spots in the lineup during the season.   

Prior to FIU: A switch hitting, ambidextrous utility guy who played for Fred Burnside at South Dade Senior High School in Homestead, Fla…. Named 6A First-Team All-Dade County his junior season and second team his senior year… Hit .320 as a freshman; .390 with three home runs and 25 RBI as a sophomore; .486 with two home runs and 30 RBI his junior year and .340 with two home runs and 33 RBI his senior season… His team was district champions his freshman and senior seasons… Named team MVP his senior year… Graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 4.1 GPA… Also ran track. 

Personal: Born July 25, 1993, in Ponce, Puerto Rico… Son of Oscar Aguirre and Natalia Goderich… Has two brothers, Daniel and Marcos… Enjoys jogging, shooting hoops and eating in his spare time… His father, Oscar, was on the Cuban National Rowing Team… Majoring in business.
