Brittany MacFawn

Brittany MacFawn came to Miami to coach the FIU pitchers prior to the 2015 campaign. She works closely with the pitching staff on all aspects of the game.

In her first season with the Panthers, FIU won 30 games. Junior Corrine Jenkins tied for third in C-USA with 18 pitching victories and was one of just seven pitchers in the league to tally 100 or more strikeouts. Jenkins was also fourth in the league with 19 complete games.

As an undergrad, MacFawn completed an historic career with the University of Albany. She finished her time with the Great Danes ranked first in wins (82), complete games (96), strikeouts (824), innings pitched (770.2) appearances (137) and starts (110) in school history. Her 1.89 ERA ranks seventh all-time at the school, while her .726 winning percentage is good for sixth all-time. She tossed a perfect game as a freshman and her five no-hitters ranks second all-time at Albany.

A two-time 20-game winner (2013, 2014), she was the America East Pitcher of the Year in 2013 and earned Pitcher of the Week accolades 13 times in her career. She tossed a career-high 34 complete games as a junior and pitched a two-hit complete game as a freshman, earning Albany its fourth America East title. Following her final season with the Great Danes in 2014, MacFawn was named to the NFCA Northeast All-Region Second Team and was named the America East Tournament Most Outstanding Player after pitching 17.0 innings in the championship round versus Stony Brook. Twice she was named to the America East First Team (2013, 2014).

MacFawn graduated from Albany in 2014 with a degree in sociology. A native of Orlando, Florida, she attended Timber Creek High School, where she lettered all four years and was named the Orange Country Softball Player of the Year as a senior. A three-time All-State selection, she was the 2009 Central Florida Female Athlete of the Year. Â
