2007 Sun Belt Most Outstanding Field Performer, 2007 NCAA qualifier (LJ), 2007 NCAA East Regional qualifier (TJ, LJ), Five-time All-SBC

 

2008 Indoors: Claimed All-Sun Belt honors in the long jump with a third-place 5.82 meter leap, giving FIU a pair of top-three finishes in the event at the Sun Belt Championships... Finished just outside of all-conference range with a 12.44 triple jump for fourth place at the SBC meet... Posted the third best performance in the Sun Belt with a 12.48 meter triple jump at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational, which was good for third place among collegians.

 

2007 Outdoors: Competed in the long jump as one of FIU’s three national qualifiers in Sacramento, Calif. after her 6.45 meter long jump to win the Sun Belt title got her in as an at-large bid as it ranked 10th nationally going into Regionals... Named Women’s Most Outstanding Field Performer at the Sun Belt Championships (May 11-13) after also placing second in the triple jump with a 12.87 meter leap, her fourth Regional-qualifying mark of the season... Was FIU’s only Sun Belt Outdoor champion this season with her long jump triumph, and the school’s first-ever Outstanding Field Performer at a Sun Belt outdoor meet... Won her first title of the season in the triple jump at the Hurricane Invitational (March 17) with a 12.79 meter jump... Had three Regional-qualifying marks in the triple jump over the season.

 

2007 Indoors: Won the long jump title at the Sun Belt Championships with a season-best 5.90 meter leap... Also claimed top 10 long jump performances in two meets in Gainesville, placing fifth at the Florida Intercollegiate (5.82m) and seventh at the Gator Invitational (5.81m)... In the triple jump, came in second at both the Florida Intercollegiate and the Husky Classic in Seattle (12.56m and 12.48m, respectively).  Came in third at the Gator Invitational with a 12.16 meter triple jump.

 

2006 Outdoors: Posted three all-conference performances at the 2006 Sun Belt Champion-ships, including winning the triple jump with a personal-best and NCAA regionally-qualifying leap of 42 feet, 4¾ inches... Runner-up as the third leg of the 4x100-meter relay, finishing in a season-best and regionally-qualifying 45.52 seconds, and was third in the long jump with a season-best 19-foot, 5½-inch mark... Also placed third in the triple jump at the Miami Elite Invitational... Anchored the 4x1 to a runner-up finish at the FSU Relays.

 

2006 Indoors: Picked up her first all-conference honors with a runner-up finish in the triple jump at the Sun Belt Conference Championships, posting a team-best and NCAA provisionally-qualifying leap of 41 feet, 10 inches... Posted another pair of top-five finishes in the event... Also scored for FIU at the SBC Champs with a fifth-place finish in the long jump, leaping a season-best 19 feet, 7 inches... Turned in three other top-five finishes in the long jump.

 

2005 Outdoors: scored for the Golden Panthers with a seventh-place finish in the long jump at the Sun Belt Championships with a then- personal-best 19-foot, 1-inch performance... Finished among the top five in the triple jump twice.

 

2005 Indoors: turned in a season-best long jump of 17 feet, 8¼ inches at the SBC Championships... In the triple jump, leapt a season-best 38 feet, 6 inches to place fourth among collegians at the St. Valentine Invitational.

 

Prep: Competed in track & field for four years, softball for two and basketball for one at Terry Parker... Three-time district champion in both the long and triple jumps (2002-04) and two-time conference champion in the triple jump (2002, 2004)... Also won conference titles in the long jump and as a member of the 400-meter relay as a senior... Won the district title in the 100 meters as a freshman and was runner-up in the 4x1 as a senior... Placed fourth at the state meet in the triple jump to lead the Braves to a fifth-place team finish... Recorded then- personal-best performances of 18 feet, 5½ inches in the long jump, 38 feet, 9½ inches in the triple jump and 12.0 seconds in the 100 meters.

Personal: Born November 22, 1986... Parents are Marcel and Deborah George... Has four siblings, Felicia (37), Robert (35), Andrea (24) and Charles (18)... Named to FIU’s Honor Roll in Fall 2005... Was a member of the National Honor Society and Math Honor Society... Also recruited by schools such as North Florida... A pre-dental major.
