2005: Made five appearances, including two against NCAA Tournament qualifiers Miami (3/23) and Louisiana-Lafayette (4/24)...pitched an inning of scoreless relief in the ninth of FIU’s 7-1 win over Lafayette (3/15)...struck out four in two innings of work against Manhattan (3/18)...four of his five appearances featured at least an inning of work.

Prior to FIU: A three-year varsity letterwinner in baseball, earning Outstanding Pitcher recognition as a junior and senior...as a senior, posted a 5-3 mark with 80 strikeouts in 50 innings with a 2.20 ERA...earned Second-Team All-Dade County recognition in 2004 and honorable mention honors in 2003...an Honor Roll student his senior year.

Personal: Born September 29, 1986...son of Les Rodriguez, Sr., and Milly Roman...father received his master’s degree in industrial engineering from FIU...a criminal justice major.
