FIU Athletics

Senior (2010): Started all 21 games as a member of a defense that tied the single-season school record for most shutouts (8), six occurring in conference play… Played all 110 minutes in a defensive effort that kept No. 14 Duke (9/14) scoreless for the first time all season and break FIU’s four-game losing skid in the series… At the start of conference season, she helped lead the defense to four straight shutout victories for the first time in 24 years… Part of a defensive effort that shut out UALR (9/24) to secure FIU’s first conference-opening win in eight years… Halted Troy’s seven-game unbeaten streak and held the Trojans, who had ranked among top 10 percent in nation for scoring offense, to just two shots… Delivered another shutout over conference opponent ULM (10/21) on Senior Night… Helped blank Florida Atlantic (10/27) in regular season finale, FIU’s first win in Boca Raton since 2000… Played all 90 minutes of FIU’s first post-season win since 2004, a 2-1 decision over Troy (11/3) in the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Tournament.

Junior (2009): Limited by injury at the start of the season, Thune started three of 18 games...part of a defense that ranked fourth in the Sun Belt for shutouts...came in off the bench to help FIU freeze out Denver (10/2), who had received votes in the national poll and ranked among the nation's top 50 for goals per game average at the time...played all 90 minutes in FIU's 1-0 win over FAU (10/30) to capture the Sun Belt Conference regular season crown and cap the team's unbeaten streak at 10 games.

Sophomore (2008): One of two Panthers to start all 19 games...defensive stalwart that helped anchor the FIU back line.

Prior to FIU: Played soccer for 14 years with the Stokke Club in Noraway...was a member of the Sem IF Track and Field club

Personal: Born March 2, 1986...daughter of Bjørn and Anne-May Thune...has one sister, Carine Michelle ... enjoys rollerblading, downhill skiing and exercising.
