Renee Cagnina
is one of three seniors on the 2004 FIU women's soccer team. |
2003: Played in 15 contests,
earning the starting nod on 13 occasions…recorded a shot
each in a 2-1 loss to Central Florida (9/21) and North Texas
(11/2), respectively…served as a co-captain…her
aggressive play challenged many offensive threats.
2002: Worked hard to see action in 15 matches,
nine times as a starter…took three shots on the season.
2001: As a freshman, she came off the bench
to play seven games…tallied lone shot against Louisiana-Lafayette
(10/7) in the 4-1 win for the Golden Panthers.
Prior to FIU: Started and was co-captain on
an American Heritage team that won back-to-back state titles
as a junior and senior…...voted first-team All-Broward
County by the Sun Sentinel...lettered in track and field, cross
country, as well as soccer in high school…teammate of
Charissa Gingerich on the state Olympic Development Team.
Personal: Born September 1, 1983…played
for the Rhode Island Stingrays of the W-League in the summer
of 2004...named to the Sun Belt Conference Commisioner's List
Honor Roll in 2003-2004...Art History major…daughter of
Joseph and Vaudeen Cagnina.
