High School: Played soccer for all four years at Coral Reef... Team won the district title and was a state finalist... Miami Herald Second-Team All-Dade selection as a senior... One of 136 high-school aged players ? including four FIU newcomers -- chosen from around the nation to participate in the 2005 adidas Elite Soccer Program over the summer... Also selected for the program in 2004... Club team, West Kendall, advanced to the final four twice and won the Under-18 boys Florida Youth Soccer Association state title in 2005... Played with the ODP state team for five years and was in the regional pool for several years.

Personal: Born April 24, 1987, in San Juan, Puerto Rico... Parents are Raul and Rita Nuñez... Has two siblings, Natalie (20) and Alex (16)... An Honor Roll student with a 3.5 GPA, was a member of the Business Honor Society and Future Business Leaders of America... Also recruited by schools such as USF, Brown, Army and Boston College... An international business major.
