Biography

2004-05 (Junior): Accomplished doubles player who posted a 9-6 spring mark with three different partners...ended with a perfect 3-0 spring singles record and went 5-1 for the year...teamed with Bruna Discordia for the deciding match, claiming the point against Florida State in the opening round of the NCAA Championships...picked up dual match singles victories against opponents from Stetson, Southern Mississippi and Drake...won five doubles matches in a row from March 4-26, with victories over foes from No. 63 Dartmouth and No. 65 Pacific...picked up a first-round Sun Belt Conference Tournament doubles victory with Bruna Discordia over Louisiana-Lafayette’s Celine Van Weydaveld and Thais Bartoletto.

2003-04 (Sophomore): A bout of mononucleosis shortened her season, limiting her to just three singles and five doubles matches over the spring...perfect in three spring doubles matches at No. 3 with Shilla D'Armas, with victories against Stetson, South Alabama and No. 35 Baylor...went 1-1 at No. 2 doubles with Desanka Jovanovic.

2002-03 (Freshman): First intercollegiate season after being medically redshirted as a freshman...her 14 spring wins, playing out of the No. 5 and 6 positions were tops on the team...posted an 11-5 record at No. 6...ended the year winning eight of her final nine matches there, including victories over opponents from Florida State, Penn State, SMU and Middle Tennessee...teamed with several doubles partners over the course of the spring, the most successful of which was Desanka Jovanovic...the pair won all four matches they played out of the No. 2 position, three of those coming in the Sun Belt Conference Championships...overall, was on the winning side in 10 of 18 doubles matches on the year.

Prior to FIU: Played in the 2001 Australian Junior Open...winner of three under-18 National Points Tournaments in 2001...rated among the Top-20 under-18 women in Australia...represented and captained the All-Schools State Team at the 2000 National Championships...winner of the Albury Women’s Open and runner-up at the Bateman’s Bay Women’s Open in 1999...seeded No. 1, was prep team’s captain and champion in the Victorian State Finals...outstanding track and field athlete, winning district titles in the 100 meters, long jump, triple jump and 4x100m relays...school record holder in the 100-meter dash and long jump.

Personal: Journalism major...two-time member of the Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll...daughter of Shane and Lyn Jonson.
