Bowl Bound: FIU Football Is Heading To Its First Bowl Game Since 2019!

With FIU’s thrilling victory on Nov. 22 over Jacksonville State – which was undefeated in Conference USA – your FIU football team is going to a bowl game for the first time in six years!

Led by first-year head coach Willie Simmons and our talented student-athletes, coaches and staff, the Panthers are set to represent FIU on a national stage. Bowl specifics will be announced in the coming weeks, and we will share ticket, travel and celebration information as it becomes finalized.

FIU football is going bowling, and you can too for free – at Bowlero Doral!

Head to Bowlero Doral at Dolphin Mall and show your game ticket (either digital or physical) from from the FIU vs. Jacksonville State game on Nov. 22 and get one (1) free game of bowling.

The offer is only valid at the Dolphin Mall location, does not include shoes and expires on Sunday, Nov. 30.

Bowl Synopsis: Where Might FIU Go?

It is still unknown what bowl game FIU will be invited to, but Conference USA has seven (7) contracted bowl arrangements. In 2025, a CUSA school is likely to participate in each of these two games:

  • New Orleans Bowl (Dec. 23 in New Orleans, LA)
  • Independence Bowl (Dec. 30 in Shreveport, LA)


Then, out of these 12 bowls, CUSA could have representation in five (5):

  • Salute To Veterans Bowl (Dec. 16 in Montgomery, AL)
  • Cure Bowl (Dec. 17 in Orlando, FL)
  • 68 Ventures Bowl (Dec. 17 in Mobile, AL)
  • Gasparilla Bowl (Dec. 19 in Tampa, FL)
  • Myrtle Beach Bowl (Dec. 19 in Conway, SC)
  • Boca Raton Bowl (Dec. 23 in Boca Raton, FL)
  • Frisco Bowl (Dec. 23 in Frisco, TX)
  • First Responder Bowl (Dec. 26 in Dallas, TX)
  • Fenway Bowl (Dec. 27 in Boston, MA)
  • New Mexico Bowl (Dec. 27 in Albuquerque, NM)
  • Birmingham Bowl (Dec. 29 in Birmingham, AL)
  • Armed Forces Bowl (Jan. 2 in Fort Worth, TX)


It is important to note that these ‘bowl ties’ are subject to change, and it is possible FIU is selected for a bowl game not listed above. Bowl announcements are scheduled to take place on Sunday, Dec. 7, but it is likely that FIU's bowl game selection will be made public prior to that date. FIU still has one regular-season game remaining on Saturday, Nov. 29, at 1 p.m. at Sam Houston as the Panthers aim to secure a seventh win. Join fellow Panthers at the watch party at Twin Peaks Doral or stream on ESPN+.
