CORAL GABLES, Fla. (March 2, 2016) – The FIU women's golf team was led by junior
Camila Serrano's five-over, 218, to finish 16
th in this year's Hurricane Invitational held at the Biltmore Golf Course (Par 71, 6,061 yards).
The Panthers shot a 48-over, 900, for the three-day tournament.
Serrano, shot a season-best 218 (5-over) through 54 holes, tying for 30
th among the 90-player field. Senior
Meghan MacLaren (11-over, 224), junior
Coralia Arias (16-over, 229), senior
Carla Jane (18-over, 231) and sophomore
Katerina Krasova (22-over, 235) rounded out the scored for FIU. Senior
Sophie Godley, playing as an individual, posted a 19-over, 232.
FIU will next travel to Gainesville, Fla., to take part in the SunTrust Gator Invitational, March 5-6.
