Richardson, Texas - The Florida International University men's soccer team battled Cincinnati to a 0-0 draw Saturday evening in the teams' final match of the SMU Radisson Invitational at UT-Dallas Stadium Field.
Statistics were fairly even as the Bearcats (2-1-1) held a 12-11 advantage in shots while each goalkeeper made four saves. Cincinnati did receive more corners, 10-5, and played more physical in committing 31 fouls to FIU's 15.
The Golden Panthers (0-2-1) landed two players, junior midfielder Dadi Kristjánsson (Akureyri, Iceland) and senior defender Chris Handy (Austin, Texas).
FIU returns to the pitch to start an eight match home stand Friday at 7 p.m. against Binghamton, followed by a 1 p.m. tilt against Mercer on Sunday.
