MIAMI – The College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) announced its 2025 Men's Soccer Academic All-District Team on Tuesday, with four Panthers recognized for their excellence in the classroom and on the field. Senior
David Boccuzzo, senior Joao Domingues, and graduate students
Mathys Lefebvre and
Owen Travis were each named to the Academic All-District squad.
Boccuzzo, a Political Science major set to graduate this spring, holds a 3.93 GPA. He appeared in all 19 matches with 17 starts, recording one goal and two assists. The Orlando, Fla., native ranked third on the team in minutes and played a full 90 or more in eight matches. He scored his first goal as a Panther in the 1-0 win at Memphis on Sept. 12 and added assists against Stony Brook (Sept. 6) and No. 1 Portland (Sept. 30).
Domingues, a mechanical engineering major with a 3.89 GPA, was the roster's longest-tenured Panther in 2024. The Coimbra, Portugal, product played in all 19 matches with 17 starts over 1,305 minutes, finishing the season with a career-best five assists — including back-to-back multi-assist performances. He concludes his FIU career with 69 matches played and 13 assists.
Lefebvre, who owns a 3.88 GPA while pursuing an MBA on the sports administration track, played in 16 matches with 14 starts, totaling 1,248 minutes. The Paris, France, native logged 10 matches of 90-plus minutes.
Travis, a graduate student in Mass Communications with a 3.81 GPA, served as a team co-captain and started 17 matches this season. He ranked second on the roster in minutes (1,482) and set new career highs with two goals, scoring his first career goal on Oct. 3 before netting the game-winner against No. 24 Charlotte on Oct. 24. He also added an assist and recorded 13 matches of 90-plus minutes.
