TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -Greg McElroy completed a school-record 14 straight passes, freshman Trent Richardson rushed for a pair of second-half touchdowns and No. 4 Alabama pulled away for a 40-14 victory over FIU Saturday night.

It marked the second-straight year that Hilton took his first kick return of the season back for a score. Defensively, Scott Bryant led the way for FIU (0-1) with nine tackles, while Anthony Gaitor added seven solo stops.

FIU will travel to New Brunswick, N.J., next week as they meet the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers. That game can be seen live nationally SNY, which is carried by both DirecTV and Dish Network.
