Panthers Look to Go Undefeated in Dual Meets, Closing Season at FAU and Miami

MIAMI  (Jan. 29, 2014) – The FIU swimming and diving team will close out the 2014-15 campaign with two big dual meets this Friday and Saturday. FIU will travel to Florida Atlantic on Friday before closing the season at the University of Miami on Saturday.

Saturday's meet in Coral Gables against the Hurricanes will begin at noon and a 10 meter diving event will take place as well. This will be the first time in four years that a team from FIU and UM has competed in any sport. Admission to the University of Miami Aquatic Center is free.

FIU is coming off a 167-133 win last Saturday, defeating a very talented Florida Gulf Coast team on Senior Day from the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Center. This was FIU's first ever win over the Eagles and gave the Panthers a victory over a FGCU team that has been ranked as high as 28th this season in the national polls.

Fans are encouraged to follow the Panthers on Twitter (@FIUSwimDive), Instagram (FIU_SWIM_DIVE) and become a fan on Facebook (Facebook.com/FIUSwimmingAndDiving) for all the latest Swimming and Diving news.
