QUICK HITS- FIU hits the road for the first time during the 2015-16 season as it heads to Harrisonburg, Va. to take part in the JMU Men Against Breast Cancer Classic ... The Panthers will face the host Dukes on day one, of the three-day event, at 3:30 p.m. on Friday ... The Panthers will also face UT Martin (Nov. 21, 7:30 p.m.) and Oral Roberts (Nov. 22, 1 p.m.)
- The Panthers are 0-4 against all three of the participants in the JMU Men Against Breast Cancer Classic.
- Friday's game is the second of four games that FIU will play during a six day stretch.

Adrian Diaz and
Daviyon Draper continue to pace the Panthers through the first two games of the year ... Diaz is averaging 16.0 points per game, 12.5 rebounds and 3.5 blocked shots per contest, while Draper is averaging 15.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per outing.

Anthony Evans is in his third season as head coach of the Panthers, and his ninth season overall as a head coach ... Last season Evans guided FIU to its first ever Conference USA Tournament win, defeating UTSA, 57-54.
- FIU will butt heads with UT Martin on Nov, 21 at 7:30 p.m. and Oral Roberts (Nov. 22, 1 p.m.).
SCOUTING THE DUKES- Friday night's game will be the first home game of the season for JMU ... The Dukes opened the season at Richmond, handing the Spiders an 87-75 loss on Nov. 13 ... JMU is coming off an 86-73 neutral site loss to West Virgina on Nov. 16 in Charleston, W.Va.
- The Dukes place four players in double figure in the scoring column led by Shakir Brown, averaging 20.5 points-per-game ... Brown is also the team's top rebounder grabbing 9.5 per-outing ... Joining Brown as a double-figure scorers are: Ron Curry (15.0 ppg), Dimitrije Cabarkapa (10.5 ppg) and Tom Vodanovich (10.5 ppg).
- JMU is averaging 80.0 points-per-game, however is also giving up 80.5 points per contest ... The Dukes are shooting 46.4 percent (51-of-110) from the field - including 38.5 percent (20-of-52), from behind the three-point arc - and 79.2 percent (34-of-48) from the charity stripe.
THE SERIES AGAINST JMU- FIU and JMU have met just once all-time with the Dukes coming out on top, 81-68, on Nov. 22, 2008 at FIU Arena.
FIU vs. THE CAA
- FIU hasn't had much success against members of the Colonial Athletic Association, as the members of the CAA hold a commanding 21-2 record in games against FIU.
- In addition to playing JMU this season, FIU will also face CAA foe Elon on Dec. 4.
UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS- Following Friday's game against JMU, the Panthers will face UT Martin on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m., and then Oral Roberts on Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. ... FIU is 0-4 all-time against the three schools in the Classic.
- On day two the Panthers will face UT Martin, who holds a slight 1-0 series lead over FIU in the series all-time ... The two schools previously met on Dec. 27, 2008, at FIU Arena when the Skyhawks pulled out a 77-76 victory.
- FIU will close out the JMU Men Against Breast Cancer Classic against Oral Roberts ... The Golden Eagles are the only team in the field that FIU has faced more than once with ORU holding a 2-0 series lead ... The two schools last met on Nov. 22, 2011, in Tulsa, Okla., where the Golden Eagles defeated the Panthers 73-65 ... Oral Roberts defeated FIU, 65-61 in the first meeting, on Dec. 22, 2001, in Carolina, P.R.
LAST TIME OUT FOR THE PANTHERS- The Panthers posted a 67-51 win over Florida Memorial, on Nov. 16, to improve its record to 2-0 for the second straight season.
- For the second-straight game, FIU placed three players in double figures in the win ...
Adrian Diaz and
Daviyon Draper, once again, led the way for FIU ... Draper scored a team-high 19 points, while Diaz recorded his eighth-career double-double - and his second consecutive of the season - with a 17-point, 14-rebound effort ...
Jason Boswell also chipped in with 10 points.
- Junior college transfer Donte Mcgill earned his first career start for the Panthers and made the most of his opportunity ... Mcgill netted nine points, grabbed six rebounds, and had three assists in 27 minutes.
- FIUs size dominated the paint against Trinity Baptist, outscoring the Eagles 36-10 ... The Panthers' bench also outscored Trinity Baptist 29-14.
SHUTIN' 'EM DOWN- In the first two games of the season, FIU has shut down its opponent offensively ... The Panthers are holding their opposition to just 25.6 percent (30-for-117) from the field on the year ... FIU is also forcing its opponent into 15.5 turnovers per game
