FIU IN CONFERENCE POSTSEASON TOURNAMENT'S- FIU enters its second-consecutive Conference USA Championship looking to take the next step after winning its first game in the C-USA Tournament last season ... The Panthers did not participate in the 2014 tournament - following their first regular season in Conference USA - due to APR sanctions ... FIU is 17-20 all-time in postseason conference tournaments ... FIU has won a game in its conference postseason tournament in two of the past three seasons defeating UTSA, 57-54, on March 11, 2015 in the Conference USA Tournament and Arkansas-Little Rock, 69-54 on March 9, 2013 and Middle Tennessee, 61-57 on March 10, 2013 on its run to the Sun Belt Conference championship game.Â

- FIU has advanced to the quarterfinals in 12 of its league tournaments (Trans America Athletic Conference/now Atlantic Sun, Sun Belt Conference and Conference USA) and are 7-5 in quarterfinal games ... In addition, the Panthers have played in six semifinal games (4-2).

- FIU has played in three championship games, posting a 1-2 record ... The Panthers won the 1995 Trans America Athletic Conference (TAAC) championship with a 68-57 win over Mercer ... They advanced to the title game with a 63-56 win over Stetson in the quarterfinals and a 65-64 overtime win over Southeast Louisiana in the semifinals ...
