- FIU hits the road as it travels to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to face Southern Miss on Feb. 16, in the first of two games on its swing trip through Mississippi and Louisiana ... LAST TIME OUT AGAINST SOUTHERN MISS
- FIU dropped a 66-60 decision to Southern Miss on Lime Court at FIU Arena on Jan. 16, 2016.
 
- Donte McGill and Adrian Diaz each scored 19 points, while Daviyon Draper chipped in with 13 points ... McGill scored 17 of his 19 points in the first half, while Diaz netted 17 of his 19 in the second half ... Diaz and Draper each grabbed a game-high seven rebounds.
