LAKEWOOD RANCH, Florida (Oct. 23, 2018) – On the final day of the Panther-hosted FIU Pat Bradley Invitational, the FIU women's golf shot a five-under par 283 to finish in third place.
The third-place team finish is the highest team finish since the 2017 edition of the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational, where the Panthers also finished third.
A trio of Panthers finished in a tie for 11th.
Carolina Andrade had the lowest final round of any FIU golfer with a three-under par 69.
Ana Maria Rengifo joined Andrade under par with a 70 of her own. Vanlentia Gilly rounded out the trio with a 73 on Tuesday.
Finishing in a tie for 31st,
Agueda Cortilla fired a final round 71.
Gabriela Powel rounded out the FIU scorecard with a 74 in Tuesday's third round and a tie for 48th overall
On the individual side,
Hannah Leiner claimed the highest finish of any Panther at tied for fifth after her final 70. In her season debut,
Diana Velez carded a 74 on Tuesday to place in a tie for 45th.
Carolina Rotzinger finished tied for 52nd in her season debut after shooting a 77 for the second straight round.
UTEP edged out the championship on the team side, while USF's Natalia Villavicencio claimed the individual title.
The Panthers return to the links on Oct. 30th for the final tournament of the fall as FIU heads to the Aloha State for the 2018 Rainbow Wahne Invitational.
