MIAMI – With 14 days left until the official tipoff of the 2018-19 season on Nov. 7, against Webber International at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center, FIU men's basketball Head Coach
Jeremy Ballard, along with numerous players, met with members of the media on Wednesday morning during FIU's local media day.
Ballard was joined by
Trejon Jacob (Raleigh, North Carolina,
Brian Beard, Jr. (Rancho Cucamonga, California),
Marcus Burwell (Richmond, Virginia),
Isaiah Banks (Conyers, Georgia), and
Antonio Daye, Jr. (Durham, North Carolina), and answered questions about the upcoming season and the state of the Panthers, to date, through preseason.

Ballard, inherits a team that returns nine players from last year's roster, including two starters – All-Conference USA Third Team selection and All-Defensive Team member Beard, Jr., and Jacob – and welcomes six newcomers.
FIU begins the season with three-straight home games, beginning with Webber International at 7 p.m., and then on Nov. 9, against Johnson & Wales. FIU closes out the three-game homestand on Nov. 13, against Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
