COLUMBIA, Missouri (Oct. 3, 2018) - Over the final round at the Johnie Imes Invitational, the FIU women's golf team shot a 302 to finish fourth and grab the program's first Top-5 finish since the 2017 Pat Bradley Invitational.

The sensational sophomore duo of Valentina Gilly and Carolina Andrade once again led the Panthers.

Gilly finished in a tie for sixth after carding a two-over-par 74. The Caracas, Venezuela native, has three straight Top-10 finishes dating back to last season's Conference USA Championships.

Andrade notched her third consecutive Top-15 finish after shooting a final round 78 to place in a tie for 11th.

The lowest Panther round of the day belonged to Agueda Cortilla as the sophomore fired a 72. The sophomore finished in a tie for 16th.

Gabriela Powel finished in a tie for 50th after turning in a final round scorecard of 81 on Wednesday.

To close out the FIU scorecard, Ana Maria Rengifo shot a final round 78 to to finish the tournament in a tie for 65th.

Host Mizzou, led by individual winner Emma Allen, ran away with the team title winning by 17 shots.

FIU returns home to host the 41st Pat Bradley Invitational on Oct. 21-23.
