MIAMI – The FIU men's soccer team will begin its quest for a second-straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament, this week, when it takes park in the 2018 Air Force Reserve Conference USA Men's Soccer Championships at Transamerica Field in Charlotte, North Carolina, Nov. 7-11. The winner of the tournament will receive an automatic bid to the 2018 NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament.

The Panthers, who finished fourth in the C-USA standings during the regular season with a 5-3 record (7-9 overall), earned the No. 4 seed in this week's event and will face the five seed, Marshall, in the first match of the event at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7. The Thundering Herd finished the regular season with a 6-8-3 overall record and a 2-3-2 mark in C-USA play.
No. 3 Kentucky clinched the regular season champion title and No. 1 seed securing a first-round bye, and No. 24 Old Dominion clinched the No. 2 seed. The host Charlotte 49ers, earned the No. 3 seed, followed by UAB and New Mexico as the six and seven seeds, respectively.
The quarterfinals begin on Wednesday with FIU and Marshall, followed by the games at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET. The championship match is slated for Sunday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m. ET. All games will be streamed on ESPN+.
