MIAMI (Oct. 15, 2019) - FIU men's soccer's Mohamed Conde was recognized for two national weekly awards following his impressive performance last week, after being named to College Soccer News National Team of the Week and Top Drawer Soccer Men's Team of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.

The CSN award marks the third time in 2019 that an FIU men's soccer member has been recognized for National Team of the Week, as Andrew Booth (Sept. 3) and Alessandro Campoy (Sept. 17) previously earned the recognition. Conde is the first from FIU to earn TDS Men's Team of the Week honors this season.
Conde and the Panthers defeated FGCU (Oct. 8) and No. 16 Kentucky (Oct. 13) in thrilling fashion over the past week to preserve FIU's undefeated record and seize first place in the C-USA standings. The senior assisted on two scoring plays in the first 15 minutes against FGCU to propel FIU to a double-overtime win against the Eagles. Conde also scored the game-winner against No. 16 UK in the final two minutes of regulation to give the Panthers an impressive 2-1 victory over the conference rival Wildcats.
The goal against UK was the first of Conde's FIU career, as he has a career-high four points in the 2019 campaign.
Conde joined FIU as a sophomore in 2017 after playing his freshman year at the University of Mobile in 2016. He appeared in seven games in 2017 and helped guide the Panthers to the first undefeated regular season in program history. As a junior in 2018, Conde appeared in nine games and earned three starts, logging one assist in the campaign.

FIU moves on to the marquee matchup of the 2019 schedule, as the Panthers host No. 10 Charlotte on Friday, Oct. 18 in a clash of two undefeated C-USA squads. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at FIU Soccer Stadium.
