DALLAS (Oct. 16, 2019) – Following a stellar start to the season, Agueda Cortilla was named the Conference USA Golfer of the Week after taking home the individual medalist title on Tuesday at the Jupiter Women's Invitational, the league office announced on Wednesday.
 
Cortilla backed up a Top-5 performance at the Johnnie Imes Invitational by firing a career-low round of 66 in the first round on Monday. The junior then held position atop the individual leaderboard by shooting back-to-back 73s to claim the first Panther individual title since 2016.
 
The Barcelona, Spain native's career week helped propel the FIU women's golf team to a dominate squad victory for the first time this season.
