MIAMI (Oct. 23, 2019) - After reeling off three-straight wins, the FIU football team travels to Middle Tennessee on Saturday, Oct. 26 as the Panthers and Blue Raiders battle it out on NFL Network.

SCOUTING THE BLUE RAIDERS
Middle Tennessee enters Saturday's contest with a 2-5 overall record and 1-2 mark in C-USA play. The Blue Raiders lost on a last-second field goal at North Texas last time out. Asher O'Hara has thrown for 627 yards, rushed for 450 yards and scored 14 times this season to lead MT on offense.
FIU ON NFL NETWORK
FIU will appear on the NFL Network for the first time in program history, as Saturday's game at Middle Tennessee is slated to appear on the channel. The network inked a deal prior to the season with the league to air C-USA football games in 2019.
PANTHER OFFENSE IS ROARING
FIU has found its mojo on offense as of late as the Panthers have scored 30 or more points in the last five games. That streak is the seventh-longest currently in the nation, with the Panther offense on par with teams like Alabama, Oklahoma, Ohio State and LSU.
FIU LEADS NATION IN PUNT RETURN AVERAGE
FIU ranks first in the nation for punt return average (30.9) and punt return average defense (-2.29) as the special teams continue to excel in 2019. Additionally, FIU is just one of three schools this season to return at least two punt returns for a touchdown. The other two schools are Alabama (2) and LSU (2).
O-LINE/D-LINE TURNAROUND
Before FIU's three-game win streak, the Panthers had allowed six sacks and earned only three. Since then, FIU has allowed just two sacks and have gotten to the quarterback six times in only three games. Furthermore, the Panther O-line is tied for first in the C-USA and 17th nationally for allowed tackles for loss per game (4.43).
SECURE THE BAG
The Panthers have done a great job at not turning the ball over this season, with FIU ranking first in the C-USA and 6th in the nation. So far this season, FIU has only given the ball away five times.
THREE-STRAIGHT OVER 100 FOR JONES
Anthony Jones has rushed over the century mark in the past three games, becoming just the second Panther in school history to ever achieve the feat. Only Rashod Smith has had more consecutive games rushing over 100 yards, after earning four-straight in 2004.
MORGAN NEARING CAREER PASSING MARK
Despite only playing one season at FIU,
James Morgan is already climbing up the career ranks at FIU. The quarterback is only eight touchdown passes shy of tying the career touchdown mark (42) at FIU set by Josh Padrick from 2003-06. Morgan has 50 touchdowns for his collegiate career, with 16 coming at Bowling Green.
BORREGALES ON ALL-TIME LISTS
Jose Borregales has been clutch at FIU since first taking the field in 2017. The junior ranks fourth overall for most points scored by a non-quarterback, scoring 230 points for his career. Borregales' 96 points scored last season was tied for second-most in a single season behind Jack Griffin's 102 in 2011.
