MIAMI (Nov. 21, 2019) – The FIU men's basketball team continues its run at the Battle for the Capital Tournament with games against Eastern Kentucky and UNC Wilmington at the New Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington D.C. The Panthers face the Colonels on Friday, Nov. 22, at 3:30 p.m. ET, before battling the Seahawks on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 1 p.m.

Osasumwen Osaghae currently sits second nationally with 4.5 blocked shots per game. The senior also posts 18 blocks this season, which ranks sixth nationally and 148 in his career to put him second in the FIU record books.
LAST TIME OUT
FIU recorded its first road victory of the season when the team topped Cleveland State 107-61. The Panthers made an impressive 19 shots from behind the arc, breaking a record set in 1995.
Individually, Eric Lovett and Cameron Corcoran recorded four three-pointers each. Osaghae recorded the team's first double-double of the season, logging 13 points and 10 rebounds in just 15 minutes played.
GETTING TO KNOW THE COLONELS
Eastern Kentucky enters the contest with a 3-2 overall record for the season. As a team, the Colonels are shooting 44.4% from the field and 34% from behind the arc.
Jomaru Brown leads EKU with 23.5 points per game during his sophomore campaign. Defensively, Darius Hicks averages 7.2 rebounds per game in his five starts this season.
SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS
UNC Wilmington comes to Washington D.C with a 3-2 record on the season. The Seahawks squad is averaging 81.6 points per game this year while holding opponents to 75.4 points for the year.
Jaylen Sims leads the UNCW squad with 27.9 points per game and is followed closely behind by Kai Toews, who posts 27.3 points per contest. Jake Boggs' 5.6 rebounds per game paces the squad to lead the Seahawks

Following the tournament, the Panthers return to the Ocean Bank Convocation Center for a three-game homestand, beginning with a contest against Keiser on Tuesday, Nov. 26. Tip-off slated for 7 p.m. ET.
