WEEKLY WARRIOR
Osasumwen Osaghae was named the Conference USA Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon. This was the first weekly honor of the season for the senior.

Osaghae helped FIU to a 2-1 record at the Battle for the Capital Tournament last week. The senior earned all-tournament recognition, averaging 9.3 rebounds while going 15-18 from the field during the week. Osaghae recorded his first collegiate three-pointer, helping FIU to score a program-record 19 shots from behind the arc against Cleveland State. In just 15 minutes played at CSU, he recorded his first double-double this season, logging 10 rebounds and 13 points. He followed the performance with a career-best 22 points in 25 minutes played against EKU.

BLOCK OUT
FIU currently leads the NCAA with 57 total blocked shots this season. As a team, the Panthers are averaging 8.1 blocked shots per game to put the team second nationally behind Conference USA foe Marshall (8.4).

Osaghae sits first nationally with 4.71 blocked shots per contest. His 33 blocks during his senior campaign place the senior on block shy of AJ Wilson of George Mason. Dimon Carrigan's 14 blocked shots are good for 38th nationally and third in the league behind Osaghae and Janson Williams of Marshall.

LAST TIME OUT
FIU took down Keiser 96-82 to move to 2-0 at home this season. The teams shot 54% from the field during the win while also going 78.9% from the foul line.

Osaghae led the Panthers with 19 points and 18 rebounds for the senior's second double-double this season. He also amassed seven blocks, giving him 163 blocked shots for his career at FIU. Four other Panther players logged double-digit points, including Isaiah Banks, who tied his career-best with 17 points in the victory over the Seahawks.
