BY THE NUMBERS
The men's basketball team ranks first nationally with 81 total blocks and 7.4 blocked shots per outing this season. FIU comes in third for total steals (123) while their 11.2 steals per game is good for fourth. The team is also fifth for assists per outing (17.8), eighth in scoring offense (84.2) and turnovers forced (19.55).
Individually,
Osasumwen Osaghae paces the nation with 47 total blocks, and the senior is also second for blocked shots per game (4.27) and third for field-goal percentage (71.8).
Antonio Daye, Jr. ranks first in Conference USA with 5.1 assists per game, which also puts the sophomore 56th nationally.
LAST TIME OUT
The Panthers picked up their fifth-straight victory with a 99-74 win over Florida Memorial on Thursday.
Eric Lovett led FIU with 21 points, including five three-pointers. Daye, Jr. logged 20 points and six assists in the victory. Defensively, Osaghae tallied five blocked shots to bring his career total to 177.

SCOUTING STETSON
The Hatters come into the contest at 5-8 for the year. The Stetson squad posts a 3-2 record at home this season, but the team has lost its last three games. As a team, the Hatters are averaging 65.8 points per outing while shooting 44.5% for the 2019-20 campaign.
Individually, Rob Perry averages a team-high 16.3 points per game in his 13 starts this season. The guard is shooting 46.3% for his freshman campaign. Defensively, Mahamadou Diawara records 6.4 rebounds per game while Jahlil Rawley's nine blocks pace the Stetson squad.
COMING UP
The Panthers battle Minnesota on Saturday, Dec. 28, in the team's final game of 2019. Tipoff from Williams Arena is slated for 4 p.m. ET.
ALUMNI GAME
The FIU men's basketball program welcomes back its alumni to the Ocean Bank Convocation Center on Saturday, Jan. 18, for the Panthers' game against Middle Tennessee. Tipoff from the Conference USA clash is set for 7 p.m. ET. The 2019-2020 campaign marks the 25th anniversary of the banner season, which resulted in the program's first NCAA appearance.
