MELBOURNE, FLA (Feb. 18) – Sophomore
Carolina Andrade is tied for 26th place after shooting a 1-over par 145 over the opening 36-holes at the Moon Golf Invitational on Monday. FIU, as a team, shot a 598 and sits in 16th place.
Andrade, a Colombia native, shot a 75 during the morning round before collecting four birdies over her final nine holes and a 70 in the second round.
Valentina Gilly carded a 146 to enter Tuesday's action in a tie for 32nd. Gilly's second round 71 joins Andrade's 70 as the only two under-par rounds on the FIU scorecard.
Agueda Cortilla turned in a 155 to tie for 78th position.
Hannah Leiner and
Gabriela Powel are both tied for 81st after shooting a pair of 156s.
Diana Velez, competing as an individual, is tied for 83rd after carding an opening day 158.
Host Louisville and UCF are tied for the lead on the team leaderboard, while Louisville's Lauren Hartlage and Oklahoma's Libby Winans are tied on the individual side.
FIU concludes the Moon Golf Invitational at 9:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday.
