Game time at the UTSA Convocation Center is slated for 8 p.m. ET, and the game can be seen live on ESPN+. FIU will close out the weekend on Saturday, Feb. 9, when it travels into the mountain time zone to butt heads with UTEP. Tipoff in El Paso is 9 p.m. ET.

FIU looks to improve to 15-9 overall and 6-5 in C-USA play.

- Trejon Jacob poured in a season and game-high 24 points, while Brian Beard, Jr. and Willy Nunez, Jr. chipped in with 16 and 14 points, respectively, as FIU snapped its short two-game losing streak with a 75-69 win over Louisiana Tech on Feb. 2.

- FIU trailed by as many as eight points in the first half, 33-25, with 7:21 left before the intermission and found themselves behind by five at the break, 40-35 ... With 7:12 left in the contest, and FIU up 62-58, Louisiana Tech started a run where it scored eight of the next 10 points, to take its final lead of the game, 66-64, with just under four minutes left ... It was, however, the trio of Jacob, Beard, Jr. and Nunez, Jr. that took over offensively, scoring all 11 points in an 11-3 run during the final three minutes – in addition to two crucial blocked shots by Osasumwen Osaghae – to secure the game for the Panthers.

- In addition to his 16 points, Beard, Jr. fell one assist shy of his fourth career double-double – and equaling his career-high – dishing out nine assists. In addition, Osaghae recorded six blocked shots on the night against the Bulldogs, one off from tying his career-high.

- With the Panthers coming back from eight-down in the first half, the win over Bulldogs marks the 11th come-from-behind win this season.

- UTSA comes into its game with FIU with a 13-10 record, and a 7-3 mark in Conference USA, following its 116-106 overtime win over Marshall on Feb. 2 ... The Roadrunners have won three of their last four games, and 10 of their last 13, after starting the season 3-7.

- Jhivvan Jackson is one of two players on the UTSA roster averaging over 20 points-per-game - and scoring double figures - netting 23.1 per-outing ... Keaton Wallace is pouring in 20.7 points-per-contest ... Bryon Frohnen leads the team on the glass, grabbing 7.1 rebounds-per-game.

THE SERIES AGAINST THE ROADRUNNERS
- FIU and UTSA have met just nine times with the Panthers holding a slight 5-4 series lead ... - In just 54 career games on the floor for FIU, Brian Beard, Jr. has made his mark in the Panthers' record books ... Beard, Jr. is currently second all-time in school history in career assists (327), surpassing Dwight Stewart (264, 1989-93) against Middle Tennessee on Jan. 3 ... He sits second only to Carlos Arroyo (1997-2001) who finished his career with 459 assists ... Arroyo's total came over four years (100 games).

- In addition, Beard, Jr. is fourth all-time on FIU's career steals list (160) surpassing Patrick McDonald (147, 1982-86) against Old Dominion on Jan. 12 … Next up is Dwight Stewart in third place (172, 1988-91).

DROPPIN' SOME C-NOTES
- FIU's 117 points against Johnson & Wales marked the second-straight game that the Panthers reached the century mark … The Panthers scored 110 points in the season-opening 110-84 win over Webber International on Nov. 7 … Prior to this season, the last time that an FIU team hit the 100-point mark in regulation was on Feb. 26, 1998, pouring in 101 points against Centenary in a 101-74 win in the TAAC Tournament ... That was the second of two-straight games where the Panthers scored 100-or-more points ... FIU also did it five days before in a 117-79 win over Troy on Feb. 21, 1998.

- FIU logged its third 100-plus-point game when it scored 102 points in a 102-93 win over Youngstown State on Nov. 18, and accomplished the feat in its next outing, against Ave Maria on Nov. 23, in a 104-84 win in the Johnny Bach Classic at Fordham.
