MIAMI (July 17, 2019) – Next up in our Q&A series with FIU football is wideout and dangerous return man,
Maurice Alexander. The senior had no trouble making the move from quarterback to wide receiver last season, as he earned a team-high 40 catches while racking up 474 yards and five scores.
Alexander was named to the All-Conference USA First Team last season, after averaging 14.6 yards per punt return to rank fifth in the nation among those with at least three returns on the year. Alexander's breakout game in 2018 came against UMass, as the Panther racked up 136 return yards and scored on a 69-yard scamper to help FIU roll over the Minutemen. Alexander is now preparing for his final season at FIU, as he took time to sit down with FIUSports.com for a little back-and-forth Q&A.
