MIAMI (Sept. 17, 2019) - FIU football continues to build on its impressive schedule for the future as the Panthers announced on Tuesday a home-and-home series against Central Michigan set for 2021 and 2024.
The two squads will meet in Mount Pleasant, Michigan on Sept. 25, 2021, before playing the second game of the series at Riccardo Silva Stadium on Sept. 7, 2024.
"It's great to schedule an opponent with as good of a history as Central Michigan," Head Coach
Butch Davis said. "They've had huge success and I think the more good football programs we can add to the schedule the better for us. It'll be a challenging two games for our team and a great opportunity to once again represent FIU as a football team, athletic program and university on a national stage."
The Panthers and Chippewas have never met on the football field.
Tuesday's announcement adds to FIU's impressive list these past few weeks, with previous agreements with UCF (home-and-home), Arkansas and Texas Tech.
