MIAMI (Jan. 17, 2020) – The FIU men's basketball team continues Conference USA play with a game against Middle Tennessee at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center on Saturday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
The men's basketball program welcomes back its alumni for the game against MT. The 2019-2020 campaign marks the 25th anniversary of the banner season, which resulted in the program's first NCAA appearance.

BY THE NUMBERS
FIU comes into the game at 12-6 on the season with a 3-2 record against league opponents. The Panthers rank first in total blocked shots with 125 swats this season. The team is also third for blocked shots per outing (6.9), and sixth for total steals (177) and steals per contest (9.8).
Osasumwen Osaghae enters the contest as the nation's leader in blocked shots (74) and swats per game (4.11). The senior is also shooting 69.8% from the field to rank third in the country. Antonio Daye, Jr. leads C-USA with 5.1 assists per appearance and 91 total assists.
The men's basketball team is 8-0 at home this season. The Panthers have won 13-straight games at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center, dating back to last season, with the previous home loss taking place against Southern Miss.
LAST TIME OUT
FIU took down UAB 93-68 at home on Thursday night. The Panther squad shot 63% from the field and 69.6% from beyond the arc during the victory, which is the highest three-point percentage in program history when attempting 10 or more shots.
Eric Lovett tallied a season-high 23 points while Trejon Jacob followed closely behind the junior with 21. Osaghae went 6-7 from the field and notched six rebounds and five blocks in the game.
MEETING MIDDLE TENNESSEE
Middle Tennessee enters the contest 4-14 for the year, and the team is searching for its first win in conference play. The Blue Raiders are shooting 42.6% and averaging 72.1 points per game.
Three MT players average double-figure scoring with C.J. Jones leading the way with 15.9 points per outing. Antonio Green posts 12.6 points per contest while Donovan Sims averages 10 points per game.
