BY THE NUMBERS
As a team, the Panthers lead the nation with 7.2 blocked shots per game and 136 swats this season. FIU ranks seventh in the country with 186 total steals and eight nationally with 9.8 steals per contest.
Individually, Osasumwen Osaghae comes into the contest as the country's leader for blocks (81) and swats per outing (4.26). The senior is also third nationally with a 68.8 field-goal percentage. Antonio Daye, Jr. leads all C-USA players with 5.4 assists and 99 total assists.
LAST TIME OUT
FIU trounced Middle Tennessee 83-69 on Saturday, securing the squad's ninth win at home this season and the 14th straight victory at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center. The Panthers shot 41.5% from the field in the game and went 11-28 from the three-point line.
Devon Andrews posted 18 points when he shot 5-9 from the field and 4-5 from behind the arc. Osaghae also recorded 18 points, and the senior also tallied four swats the victory.
MEETING THE MONARCHS
Old Dominion comes into the contest at 7-12 for the season and 3-3 against conference opponents. ODU is 6-2 at home this season but 1-7 in road games. The Monarchs are averaging 62.4 points per game while shooting 39.7%.
Individually, Xavier Green leads the ODU squad with 12.3 points per game, and the guard is followed closely behind by Jason Wade, who comes into the contest with 11.4 points per outing, Aaron Carver averages a team-best 9.7 rebounds per game while Malik Curry paces the squad with 3.4 assists per appearance this season.
