MIAMI (Jan. 24, 2020) - The FIU swim and dive program will travel up the coast to Fort Myers, Florida to take on longtime rival FGCU on Saturday, Jan. 25 at high noon. 

The Panthers enter the matchup sporting a 5-3 record while the Eagles enter with an 8-7 mark on the season as they host their senior day at the FGCU Aquatic Center.

The Panther-Eagle rivalry dates back to 2007, with FGCU leading the series 11-2 all-time against FIU. Their most recent matchup was almost exactly a year ago at the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Center, where the Panthers took down the Eagles 198-102 at their 2019 Senior Day event. 

"We look forward to our meet every year against FGC," said head coach Randy Horner, "They're a great rivalry and a traditionally good program that will give us a good test as we prepare for our conference championship run."

UP NEXT 
The Panthers return to Biscayne Bay on Saturday, Feb. 1 to host FAU and honor the 2020 graduating class with ceremonies set to begin at 10:00 a.m.
