BY THE NUMBERS
FIU enters the game as the nation's leader in blocked shots (147) and swats per game (7.0). The Panther squad is also eighth in the country for total steals (196).
Individually, Osasumwen Osaghae ranks first nationally for total blocks (89) and swats per game (4.2). The senior is also third in the country with a 67.7 field-goal percentage. Antonio Daye Jr leads the conference with 5.2 assists per game and 110 total assists.
The men's basketball team is 9-0 at home this season. The Panthers have won 14-straight at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center, dating back to last season, with the previous home loss taking place against Southern Miss on Jan. 31, 2019.
LAST TIME OUT
FIU fell at C-USA foe Charlotte 75-49 on Saturday. The team shot 32.7% from the field and 15.8% from beyond the arc in the loss.
Eric Lovett closed out the game with 15 points to lead all Panther players while Daye Jr. followed closely behind the junior with 12. Osaghae recorded five rebounds and a pair of blocks in the loss.
MEETING MARSHALL
Marshall heads to the Sunshine State at 9-12 this year with a 3-5 record against league opponents. The Thundering Herd average 74.6 points per game while shooting 45.1% from the field.
Taevion Kinsey leads Marshall with 15.5 points per game, and Jarrod West follows closely behind with 14.4 points per outing. Iran Bennett paces the Herd with 5.5 rebounds per game while Jannson Williams averages a squad -best 1.4 blocks per game.
