MIAMI (Jan. 31, 2020) – The FIU men's basketball team welcomes WKU to the Ocean Bank Convocation Center for a Conference USA battle on Saturday, Feb. 1. Tipoff is slated for noon ET.

BY THE NUMBERS
FIU comes into the contest at 14-8 for the team's 2019-20 campaign. The Panthers are 5-4 against C-USA opponents and 9-1 at home this season. Coming into the contest, FIU leads the nation with 151 total blocks and 6.9 swats per appearance. The squad is also seventh in the country with 206 steals this year.

Individually, Osasumwen Osaghae ranks first nationally with 92 blocked shots and 4.18 swats per game. The senior is also third in the country with a 67.9 field-goal percentage. Antonio Daye, Jr. leads the conference with 112 total assists and 5.1 assists per contest.

LAST TIME OUT
FIU fell for the first time at home this season when the Panthers were defeated by Marshall 84-74. The FIU team shot 38.2% from the field in the loss and 32% from beyond the arc.

Trejon Jacob led all players with a season-best 23 points. The senior was 7-11 overall and 4-6 from the three-point line. Osaghae tallied his sixth double-double this season when he notched 13 points and 11 rebounds.

SCOUTING WKU
WKU comes to FIU at 14-7 this season with a 7-2 record in league play. The Hilltoppers had a five-game winning streak snapped Thursday when the team fell 69-65 at Florida Atlantic. The team is shooting 46.6% and averaging 76.6 points per game.

Taveion Hollingsworth comes in averaging a squad-best 15.4 points per game and 2.8 assists per contest. Carson Williams posts 6.4 rebounds per outing while Josh Anderson leads the team with 25 swats this season.

The Panthers prepare for Senior Day on Wednesday, Feb. 5, when the team hosts Florida Atlantic in the final home game before the start of C-USA bonus play. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m.
