MIAMI (Nov. 20, 2020) - The FIU men's basketball team announced its non-conference slate for the 2020-21 season on Friday afternoon. The Panthers are set to play nine games prior to league action, with seven contests taking place at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center.
"We are thrilled with the completion of this season's schedule," head coach Jeremy Ballard said. "We are incredibly grateful to our administration and university health officials for all of the painstaking work they have put in to ensure a safe environment for our team to compete. Our players and staff have been hard at work in preparation for the season and are excited to represent FIU again on the court."

FIU opens the season on Wednesday, Nov. 25, when the team welcomes the University of Fort Lauderdale for a game at noon. The squad follows the contest with a game against Flagler on Friday, Nov. 27. The Panthers open the month of December with a home contest against Central Michigan, before playing back-to-back home games against Jacksonville State (Dec. 4 and Dec. 6).
FIU heads to Jacksonville, Florida, for a game at North Florida on Dec. 12 and remains on the road for a contest at Florida Gulf Coast on Dec. 16. Following the road trip, the Panthers host Georgia Southern (Dec. 19) and Fort Lauderdale (Dec. 21) for the final non-conference games of 2020.
Conference USA play begins for FIU when the team hosts Old Dominion for a two-game series beginning on New Years Day.
