FIU fell for the first time this season when the Panthers dropped an 80-77 contest at North Florida. Overall, the Panthers shot 41.8% but went just 9-26 from beyond the arc. Five Panthers scored in double figures, with
Tevin Brewer leading the way at 23.
Dimon Carrigan logged a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.

Carrigan sits eighth nationally and third in the league with 3.00 blocks per game. The 12 total blocks for the forward put Carrigan 21st in the country and third in C-USA.

FGCU comes into the contest with a 3-1 record. The Eagles topped Miami 66-62 for the squad's most recent victory. The team is averaging 69.8 points per game while shooting 44% overall. Caleb Catto leads Florida Gulf Coast with 14.3 points per game, while Jalen Warren posts 14.0 per outing. Eli Abaev logs 8.3 rebounds, and Dakota Rivers tallies 1.25 blocks per game.
