MIAMI (Feb. 14, 2020) – The FIU men's basketball team takes on Southern Miss at the Reed Green Coliseum on Saturday, Feb. 15. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET.

BY THE NUMBERS
The men's basketball team leads the nation with 176 total blocks and 6.8 swats per game. The team also comes into the contest ranked second for three-point defense (27.0) and seventh with 239 total steals.

Individually, Osasumwen Osaghae comes into the contest as the nation's leader for blocks (104) and swats per outing (4.00). The senior is also second in the country for field-goal percentage (68.9). Antonio Daye, Jr. leads the conference with 133 total assists and assists per game (5.1).

LAST TIME OUT
The Panthers fell at Louisiana Tech 60-57 on Thursday night. The Panthers shot 39.7% from the field in the loss but were just 5-9 from the free-throw line.

Individually, Devon Andrews led all players with 22 points. Isaiah Banks scored 13 points in the loss while Osaghae tallied 11 rebounds and five blocks during the contest.

SCOUTING SOUTHERN MISS
Southern Miss comes into the game at 8-18 this season and 4-9 in conference play. The Golden Eagles are 7-5 at home this year and 1-10 in road games. USM averages 67.1 points while shooting 44.4% as a team.

Gabe Watson leads the squad with 13.1 points per game while Tyler Stevenson comes in with 12.5 points per outing. Leonard Harper-Baker leads the team with 7.7 rebounds per contest and 3.3 assists.
