MIAMI (Feb. 4, 2020) – The FIU men's basketball team hosts Conference USA foe Florida Atlantic for a midweek showdown on Wednesday, Feb. 5. Tipoff from Senior Day is set for 7 p.m. Before the game, Devon Andrews, Trejon Jacob, and Osasumwen Osaghae are to be honored in a special Senior Day ceremony.

BY THE NUMBERS
FIU comes into the game at 15-8 this season and 6-4 against league opponents. The team ranks first nationally with 157 total blocks and 6.8 swats per appearance. The Panther squad also ranks seventh in the country with 212 total steals this year.

Osaghae continues to lead the nation with 4.09 blocked shots per contest and 94 total swats this season. The senior ranks second in the country with a 68.6 field-goal percentage. Antonio Daye, Jr. ranks first in the conference with 5.3 assists per game and 121 total assists this season.

LAST TIME OUT
The Panthers took down WKU at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center on Saturday afternoon. FIU shot 53% from the field in the victory, and the squad's bench outscored the Hilltoppers reserves 25-0.

Osaghae tied his career-best when he recorded 22 points in the win, and Daye Jr. tallied nine assists, also matching his career-high.

SCOUTING THE OWLS
Florida Atlantic comes into the contest at 14-9 overall and 6-4 in C-USA play. The Owls are averaging 72.1 points per game while shooting 43.1% from the field.

Cornelius Taylor (12.6), Jailyn Ingram (10.9), and Michael Forrest (10.0) are posting double-figure points this season. Richardson Maitre paces the team with 2.5 assists and 3.9 rebounds per outing.
