MIAMI (March 6, 2020) - After a stellar freshman season, FIU swimming and diving's
Jasmine Nocentini earned a bid to compete in the NCAA Championships.
The championships will be held on March 18-21 in Athens, Georgia. Nocentini will compete in the 50 and 100 free events later this month.
The honor for Nocentini will mark the ninth-straight season that FIU will be represented in the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
At last weekend's C-USA Championships, Nocentini earned five gold medals, including wins in the 50 and 100 free events. The freshman swam a lifetime-best of 22.23 in the 50 free, while clocking in with a 49.83 in the 100 free.
Nocentini was also part of four of FIU's five winning relay teams at the C-USA Championships to help lead the Panthers to their sixth-straight league title.
